2.1 We specialise in the sale of custom-built and modified wristwatches (“Products”).
2.2 Products may incorporate:

  • Aftermarket components
  • Original OEM components
  • Modified original components
  • Third-party parts

2.3 Unless explicitly stated, Products are not factory-original items and may differ from manufacturer specifications.

3. No Affiliation or Endorsement

3.1 modsbyshots is independent and unaffiliated with Seiko Watch Corporation or any other brand referenced.
3.2 Any reference to “Seiko” is strictly for descriptive purposes, including but not limited to movement type or compatibility.
3.3 Nothing on this Website shall be construed as implying endorsement, partnership, or authorization by Seiko.

4. Orders and Contract Formation

4.1 All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
4.2 A contract is formed only when you receive written confirmation that your order has been accepted.
4.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including but not limited to:

  • Pricing errors
  • Suspected fraud

5. Custom and Made-to-Order Products

5.1 Many Products are custom-built or made to order.
5.2 Once production has commenced, orders:

  • Cannot be cancelled
  • May be modified at an additional cost

5.3 Any stated build or dispatch times are estimates only and not legally binding.

6. Shipping and Delivery

6.1 Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed.
6.2 We shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Postal or courier services
  • Customs processing
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

6.3 Risk in the Products passes to you upon delivery.
6.4 We try our best to remove all Custom Fees, Taxes & Duties. In the unlikely event of Custom Fees, Taxes & Duties, customers are responsible for covering.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Consumer Rights

7.1 Due to the bespoke nature of our Products, the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may not apply to custom or personalised goods.

7.2 We do not accept returns or offer refunds except where:

  • The Product is defective; or
  • The Product is damaged upon delivery

7.3 Any claim must be made within 7 days of receipt and supported by photographic evidence where applicable.

7.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

8. Warranty

8.1 We provide a limited warranty of 365 days from the date of delivery.
8.2 This warranty is limited to manufacturing defects and movement failure under normal use.

8.3 The warranty does not cover:

  • Water damage
  • Accidental damage, misuse, or neglect
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage resulting from third-party repairs or modifications

8.4 All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval.

9. Water Resistance Disclaimer

9.1 All watches have their designed water resistance in their product description. 
9.2 All watches have lubricated gaskets and case manufacturer guarantee of a set water resistance, however we do not test the water resistance of watches once made.
9.3 Use of Products in or around water is entirely at your own risk.

10. Product Disclaimer

10.1 By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Products are custom-modified items
  • Minor cosmetic variations, alignment differences, or imperfections may occur
  • Such characteristics do not constitute defects

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Most content on the Website, including text, images, branding, and designs, is owned by or licensed to us.
11.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without prior written consent.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:

17. Trademark & Dial Disclaimer

17.1 Certain Products may feature aftermarket dials bearing stylised or branded markings (including but not limited to “S” logos).

17.2 These dials are:

  • Custom or third-party components
  • Not manufactured, authorised, or endorsed by Seiko Watch Corporation

17.3 Any such branding is used strictly for aesthetic or homage purposes only.

17.4 By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The watch is a custom-modified piece, not an official branded product
  • modsbyshots.com makes no representation of authenticity regarding any third-party trademarks present on components

17.5 You further agree that you are purchasing the Product with full awareness of its modified and non-official nature, and you waive any claim relating to branding, authenticity, or trademark use.

18. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

18.1 By completing a purchase, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us to resolve the issue.

18.2 In the event of a chargeback:

  • You agree that this constitutes a breach of these Terms
  • We reserve the right to provide:
    • Proof of delivery
    • Order confirmation
    • Evidence of custom build process
    • These Terms as binding agreement

18.3 Where a chargeback is initiated fraudulently or without valid basis, we reserve the right to:

  • Pursue recovery of funds
  • Recover any associated fees or costs
  • Restrict or permanently ban future purchases

18.4 You acknowledge that:

  • Products are custom-made and non-refundable
  • Chargebacks on this basis are invalid and will be contested
